Carly Ryan

My name is Carly and I have been with Counselling in the community since May 2019 as a person centred counsellor in training.
I have been working with an average of 4 clients per week since I started volunteering with the service. I officially qualified as a person centred psychotherapist in January 2020.
I have recently become involved with admin work to aid with the increased volume of need we have seen during the pandemic and the expansion of the service. I assist with initial assessments and allocating clients to counsellors and inputting of information onto the system.
Counselling in the community is a warm environment and provides an abundance of support for counsellors in training and is an incredible service to enable counselling for those in desperate need of mental health support that are unable to access private therapy. Counselling in the community has provided many opportunities to increase my professional practice and experience.
